The Cello Guru has high level and unique expertise in cello mastery and in mentoring adult students around the world. With Masters Degrees from Manhattan School of Music in classical cello and jazz and improvisation she is highly equipped and excited to be your coach.
Dive into intensive Cello Study with The Cello Guru
A Personalized Plan
We will work with you to create a personalized lesson plan that will tell you exactly what you need to do daily in order to make the progress that you want. We focus on building a strong foundation, developing your strengths and finding your creativity.
Technical Mastery
Scales, arpeggios, Suzuki pieces and Celtic chord charts with the 30 Day Cello Practice Planner. Correct posture, positions and of course...learning and working through the elements of a soulful sound. Study the music theory you need to have in order to find some freedom in your playing and head off in some fun musical directions, like Celtic, Pop and Jazz music on your cello.
Music Theory
Attend TCI Guest Speaker Sessions regularly and hear from professional musicians around the world who will teach you what it takes to become the highest level of musician that you can be.
A Dedicated Cello Community to Cheer You On
We all learn faster and deeper when we have a like minded community to cheer us on. That's exactly what you will get with the Total Cello Immersion Program.
An Engaging Online Cello Course for Daily Support
After your lessons and your classes, find the elements of cello playing that you need to work on and work with video instruction daily on your own time. We work technique, musicality, mindset and creativity.
Community Events
We offer four online Total Cello Immersion Celebration Meet and Greet Concerts per year. Come on in and play for the group...and cheer everyone else on in their journey as they play for you.

Katherine's journey: Katherine started with a 4 session Cello Guru Fun Flow and Freedom Intensive, and she then took the TCI 4 six month program. She is now in the 12 month Total Cello Immersion Cello Mentorship program. She was a violinist in high school, but she now knows that cello is the thing (of course!) Katherine is now working on the the lovely Breval Sonata in Suzuki Book 4, and improving in her musicality and her cello technique by leaps and bounds every day. Great job Katherine!

Gregory's journey: Gregory S. is a newbie cellist who sings in a wonderful mens choir in the bay area, and he is now putting his lovely voice onto the cello. First he started showing up regularly in Cello Nation. He got a visit last year from the Cello Guru Bus to help him with his technique...and then he joined a six month TCI 4 Program. Now Gregory is all in with a 12 month TCI Cello Mentorship Program. He's working through the Suzuki books and having a blast in the process. Greg has made so much progress in our programs. Go Greg!
