Marcie Brown has helped hundreds of cellists across the world to rebuild their passion for playing music and to find confidence in their own unique musical voice.
She has been a professional cellist for over thirty years, sharing the stage with lots of amazing musicians, like Ray Charles, Andrea Bocelli, Itzak Perlman and Jaco Pastorius. She was in the Cirque du Soleil "O" show for several years, singing and playing the cello on stage beneath two Russian twin trapeze artists while walking in front of a fluorescent swimming pool. She has played Brazilian, Trinidadian, Jamaican, Irish and African music extensively in bands. She has performed with symphonies all across the United States. At the start of the pandemic, she took her unique teaching personality online, to help aspiring adult cellists all over the world find joy, passion and creativity in their playing. If you are a cellist that's looking for deep inspiration, the Cello Guru can help. You don't have to be Yo Yo Ma. You just have to want to Play Better Cello.
