CRASH COURSE IN CELLO
One month. One piece. Four private lessons with me, 25 minutes each. Plus two supplementary videos you work through on your own time — both focused on the specific skills your piece demands.
You pick a piece from my list of twelve.
We go deep on it together for one month.
Not skimming the surface. Not jumping around.
One piece, all the way in, for thirty days.
By the end of the month you know that piece at a level you have never known a piece before. And the skills you build... smooth bow arm, good pitch, accurate shifting, legato phrasing, beautiful vibrato and a soulful sound...those skills transfer over into everything else you play.
TWELVE PIECES TO CHOOSE FROM:
Not sure which piece is right for you?
We figure that out together on your Play Better Cello Call.

The 6 Month Cello Mentorship Program
Six months.
Small group.
Weekly group coaching.
Monthly private session.
Concerts.
Guest speakers.
A community of cellists who show up every single week and want the same thing you want.
TCI is capped at a small number of students because the community is the point. Typically our TCI classes are 3-5 students playing at similar levels.
Every week you bring your piece and you play it out loud — for me and for your fellow students. Every week somebody hears you. Every week you get coached. Every week you get better at playing in front of other people.
That last part is the thing most adult cellists have never experienced.
Practicing alone makes you better in private. Playing for someone every single week makes you better in public. Those are two completely different skills. TCI builds both at the same time.
Here is how it works:
Every class starts with thirty minutes together — scales, arpeggios, and monthly materials that we all work on as a group with me as the leader. You hear me play and you play along on mute.
This is your technical foundation.
This is where you stop guessing and start understanding.
Then each student plays individually.
I coach you on your piece — the musical decisions, the technical challenges, the specific things that are holding you back. Your fellow students hear you. And you hear them.
That is where a surprising amount of growth happens — because when you are listening to someone else play you are not worrying about yourself. You are just hearing the music and the coaching. And absorbing the gold.
Week after week. For six months.

Many of my students start with Crash Course.
They spend one month going deep on a piece with me privately.
They feel what it is like to be taken seriously and coached at a high level.
And then they want more — more consistency, more community, more of that feeling every single week.
That is when TCI becomes the obvious next step.
Some students come straight to TCI because they already know what they need.
They have been practicing alone long enough.
They do not need another month alone — they need a community and a weekly commitment. They come straight in and they do not look back.
Both paths work.
The question is where you are right now and what you are ready for.
Either way the first step is the same:
BOOK A PLAY BETTER CELLO CALL
You play for me. I listen. We talk about where you are as a cellist, where you want to go, and what is actually possible for you.
Most cellists have never had that conversation with anyone. They have never had someone really listen and say — yes, this is possible for you, and here is exactly how we get there.
That is what this call is.
At the end of the call you will know exactly which path is right for you — Crash Course, Total Cello Immersion, or something else entirely.
No pressure.
Just clarity.

Here's what Patricia S. recently said:
"Marcie has coached me from a wanna-be-cellist to someone with the confidence to accept solo cello gigs! It takes a lot of work but it IS possible. PLEASE if you are interested in committing to your cello journey, wherever you are, get in contact with Marcie and check out the many different learning programs she has.
You will not be disappointed."
Here's what April M. recently said:
"For years, I couldn’t get a teacher to work with me because I was constantly on the road with my work in the film industry. But Marcie said, “I got you,” and took me on anyway. Truthfully, I don’t think she fully realized what she was signing up for — but she stuck with me through all of it. And continues to do so.
Last night, it all came together. I felt confident. I had no trouble reading the chord chart, and no fear playing in front of people. And the best part? Someone came up to me and said: “I’ve never jammed with a cello before — and it’s amazing.”
Thank you, Marcie, for sticking with me
and being the amazing instructor that you are. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"Well worth your time, energy and money. You will fall in love with the cello all over again." — Miriam R., Boca Raton, FL
"I have so much more confidence from the TCI program. Thank you!"
— Susan S., Scotland

"Everything she taught me in the Crash Course will stay with me forever. Soooo excited — can't get the grin off my face or the cello out of my hands. Sooooooo glad I am in this!"
— Sandra B. in AU, Tchaikovsky Chanson Triste
"I finally understand what the Galamian method is about. His book, which I have, is positively intimidating. After the Crash Course class ended I went back to practicing scales the Galamian way for another 45 minutes. Very glad I chose this Galamian Crash Course. It's applicable to everything."
— Marj, P. in PA, Galamian Scale Method
- Kathleen W. in TX, Perpetual Motion
"I'm very inspired by my Crash Course. Just finished practicing!"
— Diane S., in CA, Galamian Scale Method
